Helping Needy Families– You Can Help!

· The Special Food Basket committee Applications are at the Receptionist Desk for families who are experiencing serious financial challenges and need food for Thanksgiving. Deadline for returning the applications is November 6, 2011. The Special Food Basket Fund needs financial donations from each ministry and from the congregation, so that food can be purchased for Thanksgiving and Christmas for those who are in need. Make your contributions to " The Special Food Basket Fund between Sept. 25 -Nov. 13, 2011.

· Coats, Sweaters, Throws Donations for the Homeless are needed for the Coat Drive starting Now until November 18th. Please bring your donations to the Choir Room-next to Pastor’s Study. Thanks for Giving to help others. Distribution will be on November 19 Coordinator- Sis. Gloria Johnson.

All men and women are asked to give $100 individually on our annual day. attire: Men - black w/burgundy ties Women - black with burgunday corsage or accessories

Bowling Fellowship Join us for this Pre-Men's and Women's Day event! Sat., Nov. 5, 11AM - 2PM. Arrive early to get shoes...teams will begin promptly at 11AM. - $10 per bowler (shoes included).. all money due by Sunday, Oct. 30th (no money will be collected at the Saturday event) Emerald Bowl (Boone Road and Bissonnet)

Volunteers are needed to assist in Tutoring elementary, middle and high school students. Sign up at the receptionist desk. .

ATTENTION! " Special give-away": Church and Office Furniture and miscellaneous items are free to members who will come to pick them up from the Annex Building located in the rear of the N. Campus now known as the "Joe D. Johnson Multi-Purpose Center". The address is 11231 S. Gessner. Dates and hours of operation are Monday, 10/17 thru Wednesday, 10/19 from 9AM –12Noon and from 3PM - 6 PM
